Name that Sheep Contest

Alpacas are not the only animals that get sheared. Like alpacas, sheep look quite different after being sheared. Homestead Wool is having a Name That Sheep Contest. Go on over and take a look. There's lots of great pictures and a bio on each and every animal.

Shearing Day 2009

We sheared the alpacas this week. 31 animals from four different farms. We had lots of helpers. So many that we had two shearing stations set up and even a photographer. We also trimmed nails and I was the Queen of the Tooth-a-Matic

Since we had a photographer there are lots of actions shots - way too many for a blog post so I made you a little slide show. Enjoy!
